Organizations that provide resources and support
Focus is a family support organization. They are on the other side of Atlanta, but they provide opportunities for families to attend camps, Six Flags and other things. They do a summer day camp called Camp Hollywood that my son attends. https://focus-ga.org/
They also have a share group for parents in PTC:
Southside Support: https://southsidesupport.org/
Southside Support is a local non-profit that provides activities, and support for parents and their children or adults with special needs. Their website lists a lot of resources. My husband is in charge of the men’s group for Southside Support. I’ll let you know when the next one comes up. They also have a camp coming up that might still have openings.
Exceptional OPs has a lot of good local resources. They also do a social skills group during the summer, a Luau event and a Christmas party. Contact janetsmola@comcast.net about the social skills event. Lots of resources for churches, camps and day programs are listed on this site.
Activities – Some of these take the summer off.
